As the holidays get into full swing Disney have announced so much so if I’ve missed anything let me know.

Christening of the Disney Treasure

Disney’s latest cruise ship the Disney Treasure was christened in New York on Saturday with a stunning drone show encompassing some of the guest experiences on board, including the Haunted Mansion Parlour which expands the haunted mansion lore to the cruise ships whilst maintaining the Haunted Mansion vibe. To Coco which onboard guests are whisked away to a Coco based dinner show. Also onboard is a Marvel Theme ld restaurant with a new adventure for diners involving Rocket and Groot from Marvel’s guardians on the Galaxy.

Muppet vision 3D to close

So it was confirmed this week that Muppet Vision 3D (and yes my brain always seems to say this in Kermit’s voice) is set to close from its current location to make way for Monsters Inc land and rollarcoaster. Opened since May 1991 and one of the final projects Jim Henson was involved with before his death. Growing up with the muppets but not quite understanding the anarchy and dry humour till later on I will certainly miss this and still chuckled at the Pre show and visualy efforct with minimum dialogue (“hey chuck, chuck, over here chuck”, “Debbie was sick so the union sent me”

I pereonally am sad to see this go but i have a feeling we may not have seen the last of their 3d adventures and hi jinks but the closure was made a little less bitter with the next Muppets Announcement.

Muppets to take over Rockin’ roller coaster

That’s right the muppets are “teaming up with some of “music’s biggest stars” for a rockin’ music festival” im actually happy with this announcement and keeps the muppets in the parks with an updated theme. Just as the coaster was rethemed at Disneyland Paris for Avengers Campus its great to see an update to an existing ride and experiences.

Disney hasn’t announced any of the closures thus far and they will give plenty of time but we are looking into next year before we see some of this movement.

Rich? staying at a Deluxe Resort? Oh Boy! Does Mickey have a deal for you!!!

Disney recently launched the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, a new dynamically priced option that offers guests the opportunity to skip the queues at the most popular attractions across the parks, as well as bypass the virtual queues typically accessed at 7 am on the day of the visit. Unfortunately, visitors from the UK do not have access to the Lightning Lane Multipass, which allows for pre-booking of attractions up to 7 days in advance. The Premier Pass is exclusively available to guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and select partner hotels.

Prices for Lightning Lane access at Disney's Magic Kingdom can vary significantly depending on the day you visit. On quiet days, the cost begins at $129 per person per day, which might seem steep to some visitors. However, during peak times, the price skyrockets to a staggering $300 per person per day. This additional fee is on top of the regular park admission, making it quite an investment for those looking to skip the lines.

One major downside to this premium service is that it does not offer unlimited access to Lightning Lane attractions. Guests are limited to experiencing each attraction just once, regardless of how much they paid for the Lightning Lane access. This limitation can be frustrating for guests who were expecting a more flexible and unlimited experience for the premium price they paid.

Overall, while Lightning Lane can offer convenience and time-saving benefits for guests looking to maximize their time at the park, the high prices and restrictions on ride access may give some visitors pause before deciding to purchase this add-on. It's important for guests to weigh the cost against the potential benefits to determine if Lightning Lane is the right choice for their Disney experience.

I genuinely don't have any idea how Disney can justify it well I can $$$$ but that's another story. I believe this is a bit of a trial but all I can say is Disney, please just bring back these!!

I know it's been a while since my last update but there are reasons which I'm not going to share.

However today is my birthday so I thought I would do a little bit of a new start. And what better way than to share my excitement that I'm two weeks away from my next Disney trip to Walt Disney World.

This trip is all about the chill doing the new stuff that wasn't there since my last trip during the 2022 RunDisney Marathon weekend, so things like:

  • Tron Lightcycle ride over in the magic kingdom, which was just in testing.

  • Tiana's Bayou Adventures again in the Magic Kingdom the reviews for this seem mixed but we will see.

  • Over in Epcot Journey of Water inspired by Moana which we ran passed the construction walls during the marathon weekend.

  • Luminous. the new Epcot night spectactular. So I never saw it's predicessor Harmonious but watching videos it didn't seem to capture me like Illuminations: Reflections of Earth did, this one seems more favourably reviewed but we will see.

  • Star Wars: Rise of the resistance, this was very new and getting a pass for this was impossible to get and the queue times where horrendous. Hopefully things may have calmed meaning I get a chance to experience what looks to be an amazing attractions.

So this week is all about last minute sorting of days what I'm planning to do, and I have booked a special thing which I'm going to keep secret So I think I will do a wrap of the day each day if I can either as a vblog or a post.

Anyways that's a tiny sneak preview of the next few weeks and hopefully I will be keeping this updated leading to and during the trip.
